1. Water and Ice Rescue Kits
An excellent assortment of state-of-the art
water or ice rescue response kits,
This kit enables users to safely hand-deploy a rescue rope or buoyant tethered
device to a 150' (45.6M) distance. SAFETY TIP FOR POWERED LINE THROWING DEVICE USERS As in everything, there is an inherent risk to personal injury when "shooting" line powered projectiles towards someone. To minimize this risk, distance permitting, hand line throwing attempts should always be made first before power. SUGGESTIONS FOR USE OF THIS PRODUCT Here are several suggestions to efficiently control the advance of a heavy main line across fast moving water. First, select an area clear of obstructions and overhead electrical wires. So that all lines deploy without confusion, have the deployment end of your main line pre-connected to hook end of 100' Messenger's (B). Next, have responder that we'll call "Linesman", ready to quickly connect Messenger (Bs) deployment eye end to first successfully thrown 150' Tag Line Messenger. Once fastened, messengers and connected main line are tensioned by hand. All lines are pulled or slacked hand-over-hand. Line that is held clear of water reduces line tension and drag. Two skilled responders, each with separate 150' TLMs part (A)s, make separate attempts to hand-toss the 150' Tag Line Messenger's ball to responders on the opposite side. The snap hook of the first successfully thrown part (A) is quickly connected to eye of the stronger part (B) cord. Slack is removed. Both connected part (A) and (B) messengers remain clear of water while being pulled across hand-over-hand. Part (B) hook in turn fastens to main rescue line. Kit includes two 150' Tag Line Messengers (TLMs) part (A), one each 100' Messenger, part (B), fanny pack and practice ball with instructions
