19. Small Boat Towing
The Tow Hook is a simple, remote operated, stainless asymmetric hook, designed
for use with MARSARS Reach Pole System Handle. Using a prerigged* towline, you can hookup or disconnect effortlessly from your boat without having to hang over the side to do so. The Setup: Tow Hook has been specially designed to open with the aid of a spiral ring adapter. Fasten hook to towlines' eye, connect adapter to pole handle. Place towline in center of spiral by straddling towline with the spiral ring as depicted. Pull hook-connected towline through middle of spiral ring until hook and ring make contact. Note how Tow Hook opens when towline is firmly pulled against spiral ring adapter. Now you should be ready to remotely connect towline. Keep in mind the Tow Hook is "Right Handed" in design and should be used from right to left when fastening. To Connect: With hook opened, extend and fasten towline. Remove spiral connected handle from towline. Upon completion of use, reverse procedure. *Your towline eye should be spliced, not knotted.
